The Jeffrey Independence Day Celebration - July 5th, 2008 at Joe and Debbie's- Rescue, CA.

So maybe next year we can connect all of our celebrations via some kind of satellite feed (see previous entry). Rich, can you get on this?

Adam and Tomoka

Adam Wesely, son of Alice (Jeffrey) and Ken Wesely, married his long time fiance' Tomoka in a traditional Japanese ceremony (with sake and everything!) last month in Nippon. Mother Alice and Aunt Ann Uryasz made the trip around the world for the event. So far - no reports of damage left by Ann. Pictured l-r are Alice, Adam, Tomoka, and her parents. The couple plan to move to the U.S. soon.

William Wins a Whopper!

Memorial Day Weekend at the Willow Point cabin yielded a fine catch for William Miller (son of Bob & Jessica). He was using a ridiculously large lure. Someone was heard taunting, "you won't catch anything with that". The hand holding our finned friend is Bobs, who after tense moments for the bass, was able to remove the hook from the innards of the big fellow (really, it was bigger than it looks here....really!). He was released to fight another day.

Great Moments in Jeffrey Fashion History - Part 1

It's Great Moments in Jeffrey Fashion History! Who better to start with than moi! This is from a picture taken at Six Flags over St. Louis - circa 1976ish. Being quite the hipster at the time, I was always sure to whomp up my glorious mane into a Dutchboy/Frizz look that was all the rage in the day, at least for me. Also note my fashion sense in making sure to wear orange to bring out the understated amber tones in my hair. I've since lost the wonderful pigment, but fortunately, photos will hold proof of my being a 70's dandy.
Got any classic moments of fashion to pass along? Feel free to continue with part 2.... :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERICA!
Birthday Blessings
Instead of counting candles,
Or tallying the years,
Contemplate your blessings,
As your birthday nears.
Consider special people
Who love you, and who care,
And others who’ve enriched your life
Just by being there.
Think about the memories
Passing years can never mar,
Experiences great and small
That have made you who you are.
Another year is a happy gift,
So cut your cake, and say,
"Instead of counting birthdays,
I count blessings every day!"

Hi, it's Sarah!
Chad and I just booked a trip to San Francisco for April 17-21. If you California Jeffrey's might be around, let's get together. Or if you have any suggestions of things to do or places to eat, please let me know.
We are flying in Thursday afternoon, April 17th and winging it from there!

Remembering 506 South 58th Street

Several years ago, a few of us from the Bob Jeffrey clan noticed the house of our childhood at 506 South 58th Street was up for sale. There was an open house - so of course we went to see what had changed. Much to our delight, other than the kitchen and the removal of some carpet, the house was almost entirely as we had left it. From the bar in the basement to the fold down desk in the girls room, you can see the pictures taken here. Enjoy!

THE JEFFREY'S

I thought we could use an update on this blog. This is Zach and his family. They moved to Sioux City, Iowa last year (yes he has an actual Iowegion drivers license).
Zach works for the Iron Workers Union of Sioux City. Tina has her hands full with Kaiden and Chloe and stays home full time. Klaire is 5 and is in Kindergarden. She takes the bus to school every day and her teachers say she is very artistic. Kaiden (or Clesson as Grandma calls him) turned 3 in Sept. He likes trucks and dogs. Chloe was born in June and likes to slobber.

First Time

Ok this is a first time blog for the Jeffreys in Elkhorn. I assume there is to be an artistic flare to a blog so I have attached this lovely picture.
Jenny purchased this "yard art" and a few other words to place around the yard. Words like "love", "hope" and "kiss my butt".
Note the white flags marking the ground covering that has not spread in two years and that was just recently and inadvertantly ripped out by the front end scraper that was trenching a plumbing line.
Also, note the blotch of lighting in the upper left hand corner from our failing camera.
Did This Post?
I have tried to post to Dwopsy several times unsuccessfully. Pete and I are trying again. If this works I'll find something incriminating to post about Pete.
